Working out for Beginners: Part Two - Set a habit with small manageable steps, build on your success

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

When you have finally made the decision to start working out you’ll often want to jump in and go all out! But take a minute and think about what is sustainable for you.

Is getting up at 5:00 a.m. for a boot camp realistic for you? If so, go for it!

But if you’ve done that before and couldn’t maintain it, then maybe this time try something different.

Sometimes for the best results we need to start at the beginning. At Square One Fitness each basic movement pattern of push, pull, hinge, squat, carry is adjustable to your ability.

Sustainable steps are the key to working out as a beginner

While each person in the class is doing the same functional movement pattern, our trainers know how to modify it or increase it to YOUR ability level. That way, you are always working at the edge of your ability, which brings you much faster improvement.

If it’s too easy you are bored, if it is too hard then you are going to compensate and set bad patterns. Our trainers know how to land you in the sweet spot.

If you are working out as a beginner, there is no better way to get strong and confident than by building on what you CAN do. At Square One Fitness we keep you building on success after success! Which makes working out a positive and *sustainable* experience.

No boot camp burnout! No “going for broke” turning into “broken”.
