ABOUT US

Sandra West has been teaching posture classes since 2015 and brings teaching experience from climbing, dance, and other disciplines.

With a Posture Alignment Specialist certification from Egoscue University® and training from the Posture Restoration Institute, Coach West uses her knowledge to train functional movement and alignment that keep her and her clients enjoying movement and life.

As a teenager, Sandra experienced back pain from scoliosis, which kept her from living the active lifestyle she desired. Thanks to posture exercises, Coach West now enjoys backpacking, climbing, and biking without pain, and she is eager to help others reach their goals.

Dr. Emily Blair noticed a gap between when a patient was out of pain and when the patient was moving well enough to go full-out at a regular gym.  While most of her patients were getting exercises to perform at home, some folks were struggling with consistency in doing their homework.

Thus, Square One Fitness was born. Square One gives people an economical option to continue their rehab by learning good movements that can then be increased in intensity and challenge.

In her spare time, you can find Dr. Emily hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and exploring all the awesomeness that New Mexico has to offer.

Summer.Headshot.jpeg

Summer Jones has a background in education and is working towards a Masters degree in Child and Family Studies. Realizing that trauma can be stored in the body, her goal for herself and others is to befriend the body to move toward optimal health. Through yoga she has found an effective practice to release tension and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training. Since then Summer has been using yoga and movement to help people bring the emotional and somatic body together to increase health and longevity.

As a Square One Trainer, Summer has really enjoyed learning the concepts of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and is excited to help others find their strength in a supportive environment.

Summer enjoys yoga, camping, and anything that has to do with being outdoors.
